The Branch Group, Inc. - Citrix XenApp 5

The Branch Group, Inc has deployed a new Citrix farm that runs off of the Windows 2008 operating system and Citrix XenApp 5.

To use the Citrix Web Interface to access your published applications:

1.  Launch your Browser (only Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, and 8 are supported by TBGIT - FireFox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, etc are not supported)

2.  Go to the Web Interface login page located at http://tbgcsg.branchgroup.com

3.  Login using your network username and password

Like Outlook Web Access, Citrix uses a secure (https) web connection -- indicated by a small "padlock" icon in most browsers.

Citrix requires the installation of a client before it can be accessed on a PC.  Click here and run the EXE (Citrix Receiver 3.0).  This client will work on Windows-based operating systems of both the 32-bit and 64-bit varieties (only Microsoft Windows versions of XP (32-bit) service pack 2, XP (32-bit) service pack 3, Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) service pack 1, Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) service Pack 2, and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) are supported by TBGIT).

Broadband access (DSL/cable/fiber) is highly recommended for accessing the Citrix applications.

**NOTE** Vista users - SSL error 61
We have had a few reports from some Vista users that they get a "SSL error 61" message when they attempt to launch a published application.

The solution:
In IE go to Tools, Internet Options, Security.  Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode" for the Internet zone.  OK and then exit the browser.  Go back in and head for tbgcsg.branchgroup.com.  Click the lock to the right of the URL box.  Select View Certificates then click Install Certificate. Next, Next, Finish. Head for Tools, Internet Options, Security.  Check "Enable Protected Mode" for the Internet zone.  OK and then exit the browser.  Go back to tbgcsg.branchgroup.com and it should work.
